Services for Mrs. Norma Christine McWilliams, 89, of Big Sandy will be held 10:00 A.M, Thursday M ay 30, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Reverend Joe Caudle and Pastor Jeremiah Dollgener officiating. Burial will follow at Chilton Cemetery. Mrs. McWilliams passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2013, in Big Sandy. Mrs. McWilliams was born on January 15, 1924, in Nelson, Missouri to Everett and Dorothea Finley Pickering. On November 23, 1942, she married Early G. McWilliams in Waco, Texas. Mrs. McWilliams was a clerk for the U. S. Army during the war and a homemaker. They moved to Big Sandy in 1955 and were a member of the First Baptist Church of Big Sandy. She is survived her son and daughter-in-law, Everett "Skippy" and Barbara McWilliams of Big Sandy; daughter, Karen Brown of Big Sandy; sister, Kathleen Shelton of Nacogdoches; 4 grandchildren, Glen McWilliams, Grant McWilliams, Kevin McWilliams; Kelly Brown and numerous nieces. Mrs. McWilliams was preceded in death by her husband, Early Glyndon McWilliams; brother, Everett Reed Pickering; sister, Marjorie Amherst and grandchild, April Diane Brown. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, 6:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home.
