Graveside services for Nellie Morris Lawson, 84, of Diana, are scheduled for 3:00PM, Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Smyrna Cemetery in Harleton. The family will receive visitors 6PM-8PM, Friday, April 9, 2021 at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Nellie passed away April 6, 2021 in Longview, Texas.

Nellie was born September 6, 1936 in Upshur County, Texas to Walter Ray Jones and Olive Lucille (Shephard) Jones. Nellie was a long time resident of Diana and worked as a beautician and a factory supervisor. Nellie love and adored her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Nellie is survived by son, Rocky Morris, Randall Lawson, daughters; Linda Kersh and husband Donald, Judy Wilson and husband Steve, Rosa Lee Nicholson, Hazel Pierce, Arlene Murrell and husband Randale, daughter in law, Edie Lawson, sisters; Peggy Jones, Ginger Heck, grandchildren; Wendy Weeks and husband Chris, Jason Wilson, Jeramy Wilson and wife Sara, Jeff Wilson and wife Amber, Keithan Arrant, Samantha Morris, great grandchildren; Bret Boroughs and wife Meagan, Makayla Boroughs, Jaden Wilson, Jace Wilson, Kailey Wilson, Aiden Morris, Ricky Morris, Lucus Swaim, Lilly Swaim, great great grandchildren, Carter Boroughs, Beckham Boroughs, Calla Boroughs, and Prairie Boroughs.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Julian O’Gillory Morris, Delmo Lawson, sons, Spencer Ray Morris, Jerry Lawson, brothers; David Jones, Doug Jones, Danny Ray Jones, sisters; Geraldine Odom, Patsy Weathers, and Shelia Gaston.
