Nelita Joyce Meadows

Services for Nelita Joyce Meadows, 83, of Longview will be Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 2 p.m., at Croley Funeral home in the chapel with Mr. Bob Johnston officiating. Mrs. Meadows passed away July 4, 2017.
Mrs. Meadows was born April 7, 1934 in Stockton, Missouri to the late Walter Moore and Beatrice Bell Moore. She married James Clay Meadows Sr. on October 24, 1960 and spent 36 wonderful years together before his passing in 1996. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and grandmother, who will be dearly missed by all the loving family and friends she leaves behind.
Joyce was a homemaker and seamstress who loved sewing, reading and crocheting. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Joyce also liked to go out to eat with family and friends.
She is survived by sons James Clay Meadows, Jr. of White Oak, Roy Lee Nichols and wife Lori of Mesa, Arizona, Johnny Wayne Nichols and wife Cheryl of Phoenix, Arizona and James Harold Nicholas; Daughters Mary Ellen McDaniel of Longview, Teri Lynn Valenzuela and husband Tony of Longview, Sandra Kay Jaimes and husband Baldo of Longview, Janna Lee Peterson of Michigan; Twenty-six grandchildren, Thirty-Three great grandchildren and sister Colleen Naqshbandi, as well as numerous other family and friends.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, sons Lawrence Allen Meadows, Danny Joe Farley, one brother and three sisters.
