Nancy Eileen Decker

Nancy Decker, 77 years old, passed away on February 17, 2022 in Tyler, TX. She was born on January 12, 1945 in Chicago, IL to the late Edgar and Arlene Muscat.

Nancy loved spending time attending and keeping up with all her grandkids sports and activities. Additionally, playing cards and Rummikub were part of her favorite pastimes. She was a member of Soules Chapel, United Methodist Church in Gilmer, TX and a member of TEEA (Texas Education Extension Association). Nancy worked in the insurance industry for 50 years. She retired 2 years ago and moved from the Dallas area out to East Texas to be closer to her sister and family.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Arlene, her brother, Ron, and his wife, Kathy; brother-in-law, Jim, as well as her niece, Julie. She is survived by her two sons: Jim with his wife Billye Decker and David Decker; five grandsons: Austin, Ethan, Payton, Jackson and Jordan; her sister, Sharon, in addition to her nieces and nephews, Eddie, Pam, Deb and Marilyn.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 1pm at Soules Chapel Methodist Church in Gilmer, TX, with Pallbearers: Austin Palasota, Ethan Palasota, Payton Garrison, Jackson Decker, Jordan Decker and Marc Nichols. Visitation will be one half hour prior to the services. Interment to follow the services in the Soules Chapel Cemetery.
