Nadine Southerland

Graveside service for Ms. Nadine Southerland 80, of Gilmer, Texas will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Mattox Cemetery in Upshur County with Aaron Hagler officiating. Ms. Southerland passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021.

Nadine was born June 9, 1940 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the late Johnnie Van Buren Wheat and Nellie Belle Parmer Wheat. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by sons, Roy S. Duckworth and wife Delonna and Erick L. Duckworth; daughter, Cheryl D. Petty and husband Jimmy; ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Nadine is preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua Jefferson and great grandson Jackson Petty.
