Funeral service for Myrtle Sue McKinley, 87, of Hawkins will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2015 at Holly Lake Church of Christ in Holly Lake with Bill Holt officiating. Interment will be in the Chilton Cemetery in Big Sandy. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mrs. McKinley passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015 at her residence. Myrt was born in Big Sandy on February 17, 1924, to the late James Ezra and Annie Mae Revill. She graduated from Big Sandy High School. She married Gordon Donald McKinley on May 21, 1945. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother always volunteering her time and energy to caring for her family and being involved in all their activities at school such as band, cheerleading, etc. She would sometimes stay up nearly all night to finish making a new outfit for her children for school the next day. She volunteered her time sitting up and taking care of others. She was devoted to the love of her life Gordon. She taught her children to love the Lord and to be Christian women. She loved her grandchildren dearly and also all of her brothers, sisters and nieces and nephews. She is survived by two daughters, Rita Chaney and husband, Howard Chaney of Hawkins, Judy Cox and husband, John Orville Cox, of Mineral Wells; one granddaughter, Susan Moser and husband, Blake Moser of Tyler, one grandson, DJ Blake and wife, Wendi Blake of Naugatuck, CT; eight great-grandchildren, Scarlett Moser and Camille Moser of Tyler, Alyla, Kaylia, James, Haley, Graci and Lillee Blake of Naugatuck, CT; one sister, Elizabeth Baggett of Big Sandy; one sister-in-law, Dora Stratton of Tyler and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Gordon McKinley, her parents, a daughter, Billie Sue McKinley; four brothers, Aaron Revill, LeRoy Revill, Brooks Revill and Billy Revill; five sisters, Faye Murrell, Ella Snider, Belle Johnson, Juanita Hobbs, and Hattie Gibson. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2015 at Holly Lake Church of Christ.
