Murdock Allen Brown

Murdock Allen Brown, age 85 of Gilmer, TX, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2022.

Murdock was born in Converse, LA to the late Joseph and Mary Gates Brown. He was a retired Fire Captain for the City of Shreveport where he selflessly served for many years. Murdock will be greatly missed by the many friends and family members left to cherish his memory.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Debra Brown Powers of Tyler and Mary Kathryne Boddie of Longview; his brother, Jimmy Brown of Mitchell, LA; sister, Juanita MacDonald also of Mitchell, LA; as well as his grandchildren, Katy Jones and husband, Roger, Michael Boddie and wife, Jill, Evan Powers and wife, Colleen, and John Patrick Powers.

Murdock was preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Mary Brown.

A graveside service for Mr. Murdock Brown will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Mitchell Cemetery with Bro. Bobbye Russell officiating and under the direction of Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer, TX.
