Mrs. Johnnie Faye "Child" Blake

Johnnie Faye 'Child' Blake, 81, of Winona, Texas, peacefully departed from this world on November 7, 2023. She was born on August 11, 1942, in Bronson, Texas.

Mrs. Blake dedicated her life to serving the Lord Jesus as a minister of the gospel, leaving a lasting impact on those around her. In addition to her ministry, Johnnie Faye was a devoted wife to her late husband, Johny Frank Blake.

She is survived by her son, Curry Blake, grandchildren Johnnie Blake, Christel Blake, and Rebekah Todd, her brother Elzie Roberts, and sisters Charlene Williams, Thelma Overstreet, and June Duhon.

She is preceded in death by her sister Christine Lakey. Mrs. Blake's unwavering faith and commitment to her beliefs touched the lives of everyone she encountered. 

Graveside services and burial for Johnnie Faye 'Child' Blake will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Starrville Cemetery in Winona, Texas. As we mourn her loss, let us also celebrate the profound impact she had on the world around her.
