Modena Grooms

Graveside services for Modena Grooms, 96, of Longview were held Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Gladewater Memorial Park with Chaplain Mark Warren officiating. Interment will follow services at Gladewater Memorial Park. Mrs. Grooms passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2016 in Longview. Modena was born April 5, 1920 in Frederick, Oklahoma to John Henry Hilton and Willie Carline Bray. Mrs. Grooms worked as a dietician in several local assisted living facilities. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. Modena will be truly missed by all the loving family and friends she leaves behind. She is survived by two sons Billy Lewis Grooms and wife Rosie and Brian Grooms; daughter Brenda Cook and husband Clint; seven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren as well as many other loving family and friends. Modena is preceded in death by her parents and a son Bradley Howard Stegall. The family wishes to express their thanks and gratitude to Heart to Heart Hospice and Dr. Johnasan Gregory for all their loving care and support.
