Michael Wayne Heidleberg

Funeral services for Mr. Michael Wayne Heidleberg, 50, of Gilmer, Texas.will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer with Bro. J.M. Metcalf officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M.to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday.

Mr. Heidleberg passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017 in Carnesville, Georgia and was born on July 2, 1966 in Beaumont, Texas to Woody O’Dell and Ann Heidleberg. He worked for Custom Commodities as a truck driver and was a member of Frontier Cowboy Church. He married Darla Huckaby Heidleberg on December 3, 1983 in Rockport, Texas.

He is survived by his mother, Ann Heidleberg of Lumberton, Texas; wife, Darla Heidleberg of Gilmer; son, Timothy Wren; daughter, Nikki Wand and her husband Jaben of Tyler and Stephanie Heidleberg of Gilmer; brothers, Woody O’Dell Heidleberg and his wife Vickie of McCall, Texas and Leland Leslie Heidleberg and his wife Katie of Iota, Louisiana; sister, Sharon Goldsmith of Lumberton, Texas; grandchildren, Devin James Wand, Nicholas Wayne Wand, Makenna Heidleberg, Sophie Elizabeth Maines and Olivia Danielle Fortenberry.

He was preceded in death by his father, Woody O’Dell Heidleberg, Sr.; son, Justin Wayne Heidleberg and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marion Willis Huckaby and Soveidia Huckaby.
