Masonic Memorial Ceremony for Michael "Micky" Thompson, 84, of Hawkins will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at the Mineola Masonic Lodge #502, 1172 West FM 564, Mineola, TX, with Masonic Chaplin Kenneth Fancher officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mr. Thompson passed Friday, September 19, 2014. Mr. Thompson was born April 29, 1930, in Warton, TX to Paul and Cleo Young Thompson. He was a graduate of St. Luke"s Seminary in Sewanee, TN, held advanced degrees in Theology, was a retried Episcopal Church Priest having spent 60 years as a priest, a Mason and a 32degree member of the Scottish Rite. Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife of 62 years, Wanda Jacquelyn Thompson of Hawkins; sons and daughter-in-law, LTC Michael D. and Kathleen Thompson of Gloucester, VA. And William J. Thompson of Ballston Spa, NY; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia A. and Stanley Martin of Ft. Worth; six grandchildren, Patrick Martin, Stephen Martin, Christopher Martin, Benjamin Martin, Kaitlin Thompson and Marilyn Thompson; one great-granddaughter, Chloe Shipley. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jack Thompson. No formal visitation is scheduled.
