Michael Dock Reynolds

Mike Reynolds, 78, passed away on December 21, 2021 in Jefferson, Texas. He was born in Gladewater, Texas on September 20, 1943 to the late Zurkle and Effie Reynolds. Mike was married to his high school sweetheart, Jane Morrison, for over 58 years.

Mike was very hard working. He entered the workforce as a teenager in the meat market at Brookshires, then moved on to selling auto-parts at Reliable Auto Supply. Most of Mike’s working years, however, were spent at Warren Petroleum, now known as Chevron, where he retired.

Mike was a jack of all trades who always had a project. He spent time tending cattle and farming and enjoyed coaching little league softball for his children, fishing, squirrel hunting, camping, and loved anything outdoors.

Mike was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Jane Reynolds of Jefferson, Texas; son, Michael Reynolds and wife Donna of Abbeville, Louisiana; son, Mason Reynolds and wife Lauren of New Rochelle, New York; daughter, Rebecca Austin of Longview; grandchildren, Macy Sanders, Maty Hounsel, Ren Reynolds, Ellie Reynolds, Jax Reynolds, Rowan Reynolds, and Emma Reynolds; great-grandchildren, Miles Sanders and Mila Sanders; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Zurkle Dock Reynolds and Effie Fay Moss Reynolds; brothers, Marvin Reynolds and Randy Reynolds; and sister, Judy Davis.
