Graveside service for Melissa Ruth Thompson, 42, of Gilmer will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 8, 2015, in the Hawkins Cemetery in Hawkins with Bro. Marion Palmer officiating. Interment will be in the Hawkins Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mrs. Thompson passed Sunday, March 1, 2015, in a Longview hospital. Mrs. Thompson was born August 14, 1972, in Sulphur Springs to Lewis Gene and Frances Thornbird Toland. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Gilmer. She is survived by her husband, Steven Thompson of Gilmer; sons, Micheal Ryan Thompson of Hawkins and Dillon Clifford Thompson of Gilmer; daughters, Dawn Ashley Thompson of Savannah, Georgia and Kassadie Rashell Ragsdale of Hawkins; brother, Opie Dale Toland; sisters, Connie Milligan of Terrell, Emma Ripple, Darline McGary of Tennessee, Mary Nunez of Grand Saline and Melonie Thompson of Texarkana, TX; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins.
