Melissa Elaine Brittain DIANA �Services for Melissa Elaine Brittain, 41, formerly of Harleton will be at 10:00 A.M., July 4, 2014 at Morton Baptist Church. Reverend Mike Brittain and Reverend David Tomme will be officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Interment will be at Eagle Creek Cemetery. She passed away July 1, 2014 in Houston. Melissa was born May 14, 1973 in Longview, Texas to Roger Louis and Rose Elaine Wright Smith. She worked as an educational aide in the school system. Melissa will be loved and missed by her husband: Tim Brittain, daughter: Meghan Brittain & fiance Nolan Kuecker, son: Dylan Brittain, grandson:Slaytor Kuecker, parents: Roger and Rose Smith, brother and sister-in-law: Louis & Jamie Smith, sister & brother-in-law: Michelle & Wade Warner, grandparents: Mary Loverne Wright, Betty Chastain and Pete & Lou Smith, in-laws: Mike & Sandy Brittain, brother-in-law & wife: Jonathan & Erin Brittain, nieces and nephews: Devon, Katelynn and Kyle Smith, Tucker and Chloe Warner and Eben Brittain. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Melissa Brittain Memorial fund at First National Bank, PO Box 420, Harleton, Texas, 75651. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, July 3, 2014, 6 to 8 P.M. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana.
