Services for Maurice Bickerdike, 80, of Gilmer will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 14, 2016 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, Texas with Larry W. Osborne officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. Mrs. Bickerdike passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. Maurice Bickerdike was born to Horace and Mabel Newsome on July 20, 1935 in Gilmer, Texas. She was a devoted wife and mother who dedicated her life to her family. She was member of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Bickerdike is survived by her sons: David Bickerdike, Donald Bickerdike and wife, Lisa of Gilmer, Michael Bickerdike, Shannon Bickerdike all of Gilmer; daughter, Sharon Bickerdike Loyd of Dallas; grandchildren, Michael Chayce Bickerdike Tampa, Fl., Tom Colt Bickerdike of Holly Lake, Dakota Lee Bickerdike of Holly Lake, Robin Stephenson and Derek Tuel both of Gilmer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tom Bickerdike; brothers, H.J. Newsome and Raynell Newsome; sisters, Betty Murrell and Barbara Ann Morris. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Mask, James Murrell, Gary Gipson, Matt Alexander, Billy Jack Clark, Shannon Bickerdike, and Darrell Davis. Honorary pallbearers are Clint Parker, Chad Wade and Bernie Cox. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, Texas.
