Mary Starr Davis

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Starr Davis, 79, of Gilmer will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2018, at Union Grove Baptist Church, with Bro. Brian Zappa and Bro. Rick Martin officiating. Interment will follow service at West Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. Mrs. Davis passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 in Longview.

Mary was born November 12, 1938, in Gladewater, TX to the late Howard L. and Dorothy (Bullock) Ferguson. She was a lifetime resident of Upshur County and a homemaker. Mary was also a faithful member of Union Grove Baptist Church and she will be greatly missed by many family members and friends.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her sons, Cecil Aills and wife Mary, Ernie Lawson and wife Tami, Faron Aills and wife Laurie, Donald Davis and wife Cindy; son-in-law, Richard Park; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and many brothers and sisters.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Davis; daughter, Mary Jayne Park; and several brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 18, 2018 at 12:00 until 1:30 p.m. at Union Grove Baptist Church.
