Mary "Sissy" Barnwell

GILMER – Memorial service for Mary “Sissy” Barnwell, 57, of Gladewater will be 5:00 p.m., Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer. Ms. Barnwell passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 in Longview.

Ms. Barnwell was born February 25, 1961 in Dallas, TX to Milton and Eva Cox Anderson, Jr. She was a teacher aid with Gladewater ISD. She loved going to the lake, loved her job and her coworkers at Gladewater ISD, but most of all she loved being with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Trevor Barnwell and his fiancé, Britani Tress of Marshall; daughters, Brandi Westbrook and wife, Samantha of Waco and Mary Barr and husband, Scott of Ohio; longtime significant other, D.J. Winn; brother, Milton Anderson, III of Gladewater; sisters, Lea Ann MacDonald of Hallsville, Rae Nell Anderson of Houston and Janie Garner of Carthage, Missouri; grandchildren, Clay Barr, Grace Barr, Caden Barr, Kylee Turner, Zane Allee, Laynie Barnwell, Harper Barnwell and Henry Winn; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Barnwell was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Eva Anderson, Jr.
