Services for Mrs. Mary Jo McAfee, 88 of Hawkins will be held 2 P.M. on Friday, January 31, 2014,at First Baptist Church in Hawkins with Dr. Bill Holmes officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Burial will follow at Hawkins Cemetery. Mrs. McAfee passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2014 in Hawkins. She was born on September 3, 1925, in DeLeon, Texas to Lockhart Ely, Sr. and Minerva Alice Brown. Mrs. McAfee was a homemaker and a member of Hawkins First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alvin Lee McAfee; great grandchild, David Fried; five brothers and two sisters. Mrs. McAfee is survived by her sons, Michael Lee McAfee and wife, Josephine, Richard Noel McAfee and wife, Bettie Diana, and Calvin Ray McAfee all of Hawkins; grandchildren, Joseph McAfee and wife Heather, Mikaela Haverlock and husband, Trey, Jeremy McAfee and wife, Angie, Amanda Fried and Wesley; great grandchildren, Jake, Karissa, Alyson, Caitlin, Sadie, Travis and Hunter; great great grandchildren, Cadence Cockrell; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers for the service will be Jeremy McAfee, Jake Honeycutt, Wesley Fried, Trey Haverlock, Pat Powell and Bob Behnke. Honorary Pallbearers are Joseph McAfee, Travis and Hunter Willoughby. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
