Mary Jo Ann Arthur

Our precious wife, mother, sister and friend went to her eternal home on Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Jo was born January 18, 1939 in Maud, Oklahoma to Finis and Edna Burnham. She attended Seminole High School in Seminole, Oklahoma and Kilgore College in Kilgore, Texas. Jo had a zest for life and loved her family with a passion. She was a member of the Gladewater Christian Church and served as a Deacon in the church. She spent many volunteer hours working with the Manna House in Gladewater and worked 25 years in Longview Livestock Auction. Jo is survived by her beloved husband, Paul of 54 years. Also surviving are her devoted children, son, Dale Arthur of Gilmer; daughter, Beth Haselhorst of Hays, Kansas, and Beth"s children, Sterling and Cody of Walsh, Colorado and Aspen of Hays, Kansas; sister, Capie Long and husband, Merlin of Tyler. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Finis and Edna Burnham; son-in-law, Daryl Haselhort Jo blessed so many in her life and therefore, leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and a multitude of dear friends as well. Services for Jo will be held 11:00 A. M., Friday, April 29, 2011 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Graveside services will be on Saturday, 1:00 P.M. at Little Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma.
