Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth " Liz " Garrison 66, of Bettie will be held 10:00 A.M, Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Reverend Richard Wells officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. Mrs. Garrison passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014 in Longview. Mary Elizabeth "Liz" was born March 22, 1948 in Winnsboro, Texas to Trannie F. and Iola Mae Killingsworth Cash. Mrs. Garrison worked as the payroll coordinator for Russell and Sons Construction and was a member of Simpsonville Baptist Church.. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, James L. "Bud" Garrison of Bettie; sons, Jeffrey Raulston of Durant, Oklahoma, Justin Hooten of Bettie, Jason Garrison of Bettie and Dennis Garrison of Middleton, California; daughters, Jacquelyn Ackerman and her husband Robert of Denham Springs, Louisiana, Valerie Davenport of Big Sandy, and Melanie Richard and her husband Billy of Waxahachie; four brothers, Nim Cash, Sandy Cash, Glynn Cash and Adam Cash and their families; four sisters, Bonnie Bunch, Lela Anderson, Letha Knowlton and Sheila Gray and their families, four grandchildren, Connor Hill, Bryanna Remonte, Savannah Raulston and Rachel Greeley. Mrs. Garrison was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and one sister. The family will receive friends Monday, July 14, 2014, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
