Mary Helen Askew
Mary Helen Askew, 95, of Big Sandy, passed away on April 17, 2024. She was born January 18, 1929, to Floyd Wilson Davis and Hazel Florence (McKnight) Davis in Anderson, Indiana.
She married Edward Askew in 1945. Mary always wanted a large family, she had 6 sons, 4 daughters, lots of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Mary was a member of the Pritchett Quilters for 25 years. She enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting, embroidering, sewing, and raising chickens.
Mary is survived by 5 sons, their respective spouses, 3 daughters, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, daughter, Linda Gartman and son, Michael Askew.Funeral services will be held Friday, April 19, 2024, at Croley Funeral Home chapel, starting at 2:00PM with Mr. Perry Cowan officiating.
