Mary Ann Klafeta West

Mary Ann (Rollek) Klafeta West, age 82, of Hawkins, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2018 at her home, following a lengthy illness. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home of Hawkins.
Mary Ann was born in Chicago, IL. on January 11, 1936 to the late Bruno and Mary (Jakybowski) Rollek. After receiving her LVN certificate she worked for many years in hospitals & nursing homes in Florida and Wood County; retiring in 2014 after many years as charge nurse for Mineola Care Center. She was a member of the Lake Hawkins Property owners Association, and the Holly Lake Ranch/Hawkins Republican Club. She married, Ken West, on a Florida gulf beach at sunset in 1990 and moved to Lake Hawkins in 1992. Mary Ann enjoyed living the lake life at Lake Hawkins, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Mr. Ken West of Lake Hawkins; sons, Lance Klafeta of Albuquerque, NM., Keith Klafeta and wife Sheena of Winnsboro, Craig Klafeta and wife Laurie of Agawam, MA.; stepsons, Rick West and wife Amy of Elgin, IL., Rob West and wife Becki of St. Augustine, FL.; and four grandsons, and five granddaughters.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Kenneth Klafeta; and two brothers, Eddie and Bob Rollek.
