Mary Ann Beard Heard

Mary Ann Beard Heard, 89, passed away in Longview on January 16, 2022. She was born on March 23, 1932 in Hempstead, TX to the late Elzie and Mary Hauck Beard. Mary Ann graduated from Big Sandy High School in 1949. After high school went on to obtain an associate’s degree. Mary Ann worked at Trinity Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler and then worked as a legal secretary for many years. Mary Ann then worked in service merchandise for over 15 years and retired in the early 2000’s.

Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Katie Roy and husband Kenneth; son, Joseph Heard and wife Barbara; and grandchildren, Joshua McCaleb and wife Lindsey, Kerry Higginbotham and wife Whitney, Brittany Rambo and husband Nathan, and Stephanie Heard.


A graveside service will be held for Mary Ann on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Chilton Cemetery under the direction of Croley Funeral Home.
