Mary Alice Cagle

Graveside services for Mary Alice Cagle, 89, of Tyler are to be held Friday, February 16, 2018; at Cathedral in the Pines in Tyler, Texas at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas. Mrs. Cagle was born April 16, 1928 to the late William Clough Warren and Alice Evelyn Owen in the Friendship Community of Gladewater and passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in Tyler.

Mary was a teacher in Gladewater for over 31 years before retiring. Caring, giving and teaching were her life. She was a devout Christian who loved the Lord. Mrs. Cagle believed in reading her bible daily and was known to share and witness to those she cared about.

She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who loved old Doris Day movies as well as watching The Waltons series. Mary will be missed dearly by her family, friends and all that knew her, but will live on in their hearts forever.

Mary is survived by son Bradley Wayne Cagle, Sr.; daughter Janie Cagle Stewart and husband Johnny; sister Carolyn Ann Brooks and husband Robert Lee; grandchildren Bradley Wayne Cagle, Jr., Blakely Thomas Cagle and Brooke Marie Cagle in addition to many other family members and friends.

Mrs. Cagle is preceded in death by her parents; husband J.E. Cagle, Jr. and son Randall Lee Cagle.
