Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Sue Burnett, 61, of Big Sandy, Texas will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 3, 2017 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Bro. Donny Chamberlain officiating. Interment will follow at Willow Oak Cemetery in Upshur County, Texas.
Mrs. Burnett passed away on June 29, 2017 in Longview. She was born on January 2, 1956 in Gladewater, Texas to Boots Russ and Emma Lou Jackson. Mrs. Burnett married Mr. Paul Burnett in 1976 in Kilgore, Texas. She was a retired dairymen and business owner.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Burnett; daughter, Tonya Price; brother, James Smith, Jr. and Johnny Smith and his wife Sherry; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and David Elia; grandchildren, Jesse Honeycutt and his fiancé Lauren Martin, Kyle Ramey, Tylor Burnett and great-granddaughter, Brynlee Honeycutt; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Boots Russ; mother, Emma Lou and step-father, James Harold Smith.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 2, 2017 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
