Memorial services for Martha June Wilkins, 78, of Liberty City, will be 3 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2010, at New Life Church, 815 North Main Street, Gladewater, with Pastor Billy Teague officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. June Wilkins passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 4, 2010, after a lengthy battle of cancer and renal failure. She was born on August 23, 1932, in Gilmer, Texas, to John and Annabelle Clifton. She is survived by daughters, Tanya Dowd and husband Dr. Loyd Dowd, Judye Leach and husband Greg; daughter, Sandra Gentry; son, Ronald "Buddy" Parks and wife Glenda; six grandchildren, Jonathan Nelson of Washington, Christopher Nelson of Liberty City, Ronnie VanDalen of Gladewater, Amanda Gentry of Gladewater, Katie Parks of Liberty City, Christy Schwieger of Union Grove; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim Clifton of Lone Star; and one sister, Jean\e Callan of Big Sandy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert K. Wilkins of Liberty City; two brothers, Adrian Clifton and Billy George Clifton; two sisters, Lynn Buchanan and Virgie Bridges; and one grandson, Joshua Tyler Parks.
