Martha Carolyn Holder

Martha Carolyn Holder, 79, of Gilmer, Texas passed away on December 30, 2022 in Abilene, Texas.

Martha was born on April 29, 1943 in Gilmer, Texas to the late John Paul and Francis Ellouise Wilson Dalrymple. "Marty" as she was affectionately known by family and friends, retired as the activity director from Holly Lake Ranch where she was a favorite for her wit and passion for serving others. She had a soft heart for animals and adopted or fed every dog and cat that showed up at her doorstep. Marty was an active member of New Way Country Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Those who loved her deeply and are left to cherish her memory are son, Kevin Dodd and Becky of Canton; daughter Amy Dickens and husband Jeff of Ovalo; grandchildren Kristen Hogue and husband Brady, Corey Dodd and Emily; as well as one great grandchild, Blair Elizabeth Dodd.

Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM, Thursday, January 5, 2023 at New Way Country Church with Bro. Randel Trull officiating, interment to follow at Willow Oak Cemetery under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
