Martha Ann Temples

GILMER – Funeral services for Mrs. Martha “Marti” Ann Temples, 62, of Gilmer, Texas will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Little Mound Baptist Church in Gilmer, Texas with Bro. Donny Chamberlain officiating. Interment will follow at Little Mound Cemetery.

Marti was born on April 20, 1955, in McCray, Georgia to Woodrow and Martha Gillis Ryals and passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 in Gilmer. On December 16, 1976, Martie married Billy W. Temples in Savanah, GA. Marti was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a devout Christian, and her family was the focus of her life. She loved to sew and fix anything that needed fixing, she also loved to travel and camp out at the lake with her family.

Mrs. Temples is survived by her husband, Billy Temples of Gilmer; son, Gabriel Temples and wife, Kristie of Deridder, LA., son, Woodrow Shane Temples and wife, Marrianne of Orange, TX ; daughter, Tabitha Tavares and husband, Tim of Gilmer, daughter, Terrina Weir of Ore City; brother, Ennis Ryals and wife, Anna of Dublin, GA.; 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Randall Ryals and sister, Diane Yeoman.
Pallbearers for the service will be Billy Temples, Gabriel Temples, Tabitha Tavares, Tim Tavares and Matthew Shipp.

Marti will be in state at her home starting Saturday morning until Sunday at 12 P.M.
