Mark 'Slim' Jobe

A memorial service for Mark "Slim" Jobe of White Oak will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at 11 A.M. at the Solid Rock Bible Fellowship in Longview. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Mr. Jobe passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2012, at Beacon Hospice Margaret's House in Longview. He was born on July 12, 1956, in Longview, Texas, to Olan and Wanda Jobe. He was a member of the White Oak High School graduating class of 1975. He was employed with Boral Brick in Henderson for 23 years before retiring due to health problems. Mark was a member of Solid Rock Bible Fellowship where he loved to sing. Back in his younger days Mark taught Country and Western dancing. Now he is singing and dancing with no pain. "God is Good. . .All The Time" was one of his favorite sayings. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Jobe is survived by his wife, Brenda Jobe of White Oak; son, Hunter Jobe of White Oak; brother, Ronnie Jobe and wife Connie of Kilgore; sister, Mary Ellen Amos of Arkansas; in-laws, Wayne and Joy Stanford of Gilmer; brothers-i9n-law, Wayne Stanford and wife, Linda; Billy Stanford; sisters-in-law, Debra Morgan and husband, Johnny of Gladewater; Patti Kelly and husband, Don, of Gilmer; Cindy Williams and husband, Bobby, of Longview; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Beacon Hospice at Margaret's House in Longview.
