Marilyn LeGrace Ussery

Marilyn LeGrace Ussery, 89, passed away on December 18, 2024 in Gladewater, Texas. Marilyn was born in 1935 to Jesse Lee and Grace Williams. 

Marilyn moved to Alba, Texas in 1949 where she graduated from Alba Golden High School in 1953. She graduated from TJC in 1955 and married the love of her life, Billy Van Ussery. They moved to Gladewater in 1956, where she has lived for 68 years. She became a member of First Baptist Church Gladewater in 1956, where she attended and served for many years. She was involved in various organizations over the years, most recent was the Gladewater Garden Club. She loved the Lord, family, and friends. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend to all that knew her. She had so much joy. Marilyn played piano, loved to sing, laugh, and spend time with her family and friends. 

Marilyn is survived by her daughter Carla Ussery Haley and husband Tommy of Gladewater, Texas; grandchildren, Payton Lee Haley and Parker William Haley of Gladewater; and daughter in law, Carol Ussery.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Lee Williams and Grace Williams; beloved husband, Billy Van Ussery; and her son, John Lee Ussery. 

A graveside service will be held December 20, 2024, 2 o'clock in the afternoon at Enon Cemetery in Alba, Texas.
