Marie Frances Robertson

Services for Mrs. Marie Robertson, 85, of Big Sandy will be held 10:00 A.M, Thursday, June 16, 2011, at First Baptist Church, Big Sandy, Texas with Bro. Seth Johnston, Charles Penney and Otis Hammock officiating. Burial will follow at Chilton Cemetery in Big Sandy under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mrs. Robertson passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2011 in Big Sandy. She was born on April 11, 1926, in Searcy, Arkansas to Omar Otto Ashley and Beulah Margaret McGee Ashley. On July 6, 1945, Marie married Boyd Robertson, Sr. Mrs. Robertson was a secretary at Big Sandy ISD before her retirement and a member of First Baptist Church of Big Sandy. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Mary Robertson Jr. of Hawkins, Tracy and Becky Robertson of Robstown, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and David Henry of Corpus Christi, Elaine Robertson and Sam Massey of Mesquite, Texas; brothers, Jerry Ashley of Gilmer and John Ashley of Ore City; sisters, Muriel Hall of Gilmer, Ann Parrish of Lake Cherokee, Iris Ashley of Henderson, Nancy Nuner of Longview; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Robertson was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Robertson, Sr. August 13, 1999 and son, Tommy Robertson. Pallbearers are Tommy Robertson, Wade Robertson, Toby Robertson, Scott Wright, Ryan Hadley, Mike Myers, Bobby Robertson and Dick Robertson. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
