Margit Lavada Davis

Funeral services for Margit Lavada Davis, 70, of Diana will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Del Manes and Gina Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Eagle Creek Cemetery in Harrison County. Lavada Davis went to be with her Lord and Savior November 3, 2013. Through her courage and grace she remained a true servant to God. Lavada above all things prided herself for being a wonderful wife and mother. She retired from the Upshur County Tax Office, where she worked for 23 years. She continued working at Sam"s Club for another 10 years. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Davis of Diana; sister, Magdalene Evans of Diana; son, Jerry Paul (J.P.) Davis and wife Tabatha; daughters, Janet Davis of Diana and Paula Alsobrook and husband David of Diana; grandchildren, Robert Nix, III, Michael Kimery, Lindsey Davis, Collan Davis, Katelyn Davis, Hunter Greer and Dustin Alsobrook; nephews and spouses, Mark and Shirley Evans and Jimmy and Frieda Evans. The pallbearers for his service will be Brad Beal, Olan Doxey, Steven Green, David Holly, Chris Russell, Shawn Stone, Kelsey Trotty and Kelly White. May God camp his angels around and about our loved ones, give us strength to hold fast, till we she our beautiful wife and mother again. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the funeral home.
