Margie Fay Hunt

Services for Margie Fay Hunt, 85, of Longview will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Chuck Hunt and Dale Bankston officiating. Burial will follow at Coffeeville Cemetery in Upshur County. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 1:00 on Tuesday before the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Hunt passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014 in Longview. She was born on April 23, 1929, in Carthage, Texas to Fred and Willie Mae Brooks Eddargs. On July 3, 1978, she married Chester Hunt in Gary, Texas and he preceded her in death on September 12, 2010. Mrs. Hunt was a telephone cable splicer for East Texas Telephone Communications until her retirement. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Jeffie Bankston and Brenda Cole; and 3 siblings. Mrs. Hunt is survived by her sons, Chuck Hunt of Red Oak, Jeff Hunt of Irving, Johnny Hunt and wife Dawn of Dallas; sisters, Joyce Hammers of Longview and Ruth Pugh of Longview; grandchildren, Dale Bankston, Lori Kirk, Pamela Sutton, Kimberly Wall, Tanner Hunt, Madison Hunt and Chloe Hunt; 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
