Margaret Collett Conard

Funeral services for Margaret Collett Conard, 72, of Gilmer, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Mark Huffhines officiating. Interment will follow at Glade Creek Cemetery in Upshur County.

Mrs. Conard passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 in Llano, Texas and was born on July 3, 1944 in Linden, Texas to Homer and Cassie Rankin Collett. She was the owner of Country Boys Used Cars and a member of the Church of Power in Gilmer. Mrs. Conard loved gardening, flowers and hosting for family gatherings.

She is survived by her son, Michael Driver of Lewisville; daughter, Susan Brown and husband, Jay of Hourshoe Bay, Texas; brother, Joe Collett of Haskell; grandchildren, James Burch, Casey Collett, Randall Burch, Zachary Burch, Shelby Burch, Madison Burch, Ryan Scoggins, Jessica Pybas and Chad Brown and great grandchildren, Weston Lee Cain, Emily Burch, Lucas Burch and Rhys Weston Brown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Cassie Collett; husband, Edward Conard who passed away on October 16, 2016; son, Billy Burch; sisters, Molly Tolbert and Juanita Wade; brother, Louis Collett and Sterling Collett.

Pallbearers for the service will be Ryan Scoggins, Randall Burch, Zach Burch, Lewis Roe, Thomas Roe and Kenneth Wade.

No formal visitation will be held.
