Mamie Janice Dacus

Graveside services for Mamie Janice Dacus, 82, of Winnsboro will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Grice Cemetery in Upshur County with Bro. Jed Whitaker officiating. Ms. Dacus passed away Monday, September 7, 2020, in Tyler.

Ms. Dacus was born April 13, 1938 in Mineola, Texas to the late Mr. and Mrs. George Stevens. Janice was a member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She will be missed by all the family and friends she leaves behind.

Janice is survived by her son, Farron Dacus and daughter-in-law, Bobbie Dacus; her daughter, Dianne Duff and son-in-law, Arnold Duff; her son, John Dacus, and her son Christopher Dacus and daughter-in-law, Deirdre Dacus; grandchildren, Alyssa Duff Smith and grand son-in-law, Shawn Smith, Michael Duff, and Jenna and Sarah Dacus; and great grandson, Christopher Smith.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and loving husband of 57 years, Max Dacus; sister, Virginia Ener; and brother, Raburn Stevens.
