Ms. Maggie Mae Haynes, age 87, of Tyler, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 under hospice care at Lindale Healthcare. Maggie was born in Big Sandy on December 31, 1932 to the late Huel Smith Haynes and Ruby June Meller Haynes. She was a retired medical assistant and waitress, and former member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church in Big Sandy. After retiring to East Texas she enjoyed the comfort of home and loved watching soap operas on TV.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her boyfriend of over 20 years, Ken Theriot; sons, Grady Mack Adams, Homer Roy Adams, and inf. Timothy Adams; brothers, Billy Haynes, Edward “Buddy” Haynes, Homer Haynes; sisters, Bonnie June Brooks, Neta Frances Spradlin, Patsy Urquhart.

She is survived by her brother, Frank Haynes and wife Jennifer of Frankfort, KY.; grandson, Oliver Adams of Germany; daughters-in-law, Cara Adams of Tyler, and Elfie Adams of Germany; one great-granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer, followed by a graveside service at 1:00 PM under the pavilion at Chilton Cemetery in Big Sandy.
