Maggie Lavirn Roberts

Graveside services for Maggie Laverne Roberts, 70, of Kilgore will be held Friday, March 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Danville Cemetery in Kilgore with Brother Ellis Roberts officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Mrs. Roberts passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017 in Longview.

Mrs. Roberts was born March 24, 1946 in Athens, Texas to the late Hubert Pruett and Jessie Eleanor Miller Pruett. Maggie was the owner and operator of the Athens Family Pet Store until her retirement. Maggie loved shopping and would in her words “Shop till you drop”. She was a loving and devoted wife mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. Her grandchildren were the apples of her eye. Maggie’s memory will live on in the hearts of all the family and friends she leaves behind.

She is survived by her husband Ronnie Roberts; four daughters Tammy Gaston and husband Dale, Tracy Floyd and husband Thomas, Tabatha Roberts, Tiffiney Clinnard and husband Matt; two sisters Virginia Martin Myer and Sharon Jamerson; eleven grandchildren Ronnie, Angela, Johnny, Latisha, Chris, Kasey, Kayla, Dakota, Katelynn, Mallory and Chase; five great grandchildren Allison, Nathyn, Briana, Kinsley and Eleanor as well as many other loving family and friends.
