Maggie Hooks

Services for Maggie Hooks, 89, of Gilmer will be Monday, August 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Chaplain Wayne Norvell officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Mineola. Mrs. Hooks passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016 in Gilmer. Mrs. Hooks was born February 25, 1927 in Hollywood, Alabama to the late William Ezra Wilkinson and Mary Lucinda Hays. Maggie was a longtime member of Faith Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. Maggie will be truly missed by all the loving family and friends she leaves behind. She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law Danny and Audrey Hooks, Ronnie and Kathy Hooks, Terry Hooks and Stevie and Nancy Hooks; six daughters and sons-in-law Minerva Ann and David Shaw, Carolyn and Don Chaney, Deborah and Donnie Wilson, Vicki and Blackie Manchaca, Pam and Michael Milliorn and Tammie and Johnny Shrewsbury; numerous precious grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as many other loving family and friends. Maggie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Armond Hooks; grandsons, Steven Hooks, II and Kevin Milliorn, four brothers and a sister. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
