Madeline Laurame Almack Phillips, known by family and friends as "Lynne", was born in Rahway, New Jersey on February 17, 1946 to Robert Almack and Madeline (Spencer) Sheldon. Her earthly journey was completed on April 1, 2024, surrounded by family.
To say Lynne loved animals, especially her Pomeranian fur baby, Cody, is an understatement! She was an avid collector of commemorative coins and plates, Disney movies, hardback novels, especially Stephen King, and anything else she thought would increase in value over time. She enjoyed playing "high-stake" games such as penny slots, solitaire, Farkle, and her favorite, house-rules Skip-Bo for nickels. She will also be remembered for her colorful wardrobe, her love of peanut butter and honey sandwiches, and her biscuits and gravy.
Lynne was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 35 years, Jerry Phillips.
She is survived by her daughters, Christy (Joel) Bauer, Christine Webb, Ruth (Buddy) Wright, and Crystal Brady, her sister, Laura (Phillip) Hudman, (10) grandchildren, (15) great-grandchildren, a nephew and niece, as well as a great-niece and great-nephew.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Lynne's caregivers at Whispering Pines Lodge and Accent Hospice.
