Funeral service for Macie Stephens, 34, of Hawkins will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Hawkins with Dr. Bill Holmes and Bro. Zach Tunnel officiating. A private family graveside service will follow the service. Today Heaven gained an Angel; Macie Stephens went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 10, 2015, surrounded by her family who loved her. Macie was born February 18, 1981, in Nederland, Texas, to Wanda and Jimmy Stephens. Macie graduated from Hawkins High School, Hawkins, Texas. Macie was a member of FBC Hawkins and a care giver most of her life. Macie loved life to the fullest through simple pleasures: her children Triston and Ky"Lee, her family and her friends. Macie had a wonderful way of always making people feel good. She loved to laugh and never had a harsh word to say about anyone. She also had a unique way of letting people know exactly what she thought. Even in the days when the pain was extreme, she made visitors feel better when they left her. Macie loved to go fishing " she spent many happy days with her kids at the lake enjoying peaceful days with them. Macie is survived by her mother, Wanda Stephens; two children, Triston and Ky"Lee; two brothers, Cody Stephens and Jeremy Stephens; her grandmother, Jewel Tanner Crocker; a special Aunt and Uncle, Sandra and Charles Endsley who loved her like their own; a host of cousins, aunts and uncles who loved her so much. Macie was preceded in death by her father, Jim Stephens; her grandfather, A. E. "Rastus" Tanner. The family would like to thank everyone for the love and support that was given to Macie and the family during these past months. Thank you to Hospice of East Texas. A special thank you to Brother Zach Tunnel, Dr. Bill Holmes and Alex Tindall for all their love and prayers. Wanda would like to give a special thanks to Susan Hubbard - TX Checks, for the love and support to be with Macie. Family, friends, and others whose lives Macie touched are invited to visitation at First Baptist Church Hawkins, for visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2015 before the service. The family is asking in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Children & Youth ministries at First Baptist Church, Hawkins.
