GILMER- Funeral services for Lynn E. Nobles, 73, of Gilmer, Texas will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Croley Funeral Home chapel in Gilmer with Reverend Wayne Spanhanks officiating. Interment will follow at Floyd Cemetery in Upshur County. Mr. Nobles passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 and was born on September 2, 1943 in Gilmer to Offie and Bernice Nobles. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of First Baptist Church in Spring Hill. Mr. Nobles retired from Texas Eastman. He loved his family, wood working and the outdoors. He married Karen Casey Nobles on November 17, 1965. Mr. Nobles is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Karen Nobles; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Lisa Nobles; daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Stephen Latham; sisters, Belinda Parrott and Tammie High; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Doug and Marsha Jones; grandchildren, Eric Bullard, Austin Bullard, Justin Manteufel and his wife Jessica, Tanner Manteufel and great grandchildren, Jacie Manteufel and James Manteufel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Offie and Bernice Nobles and sister, Nelda Camp Pember. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 6:00 P.M, to 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
