Luther Dale Carter

Luther Dale Carter, 78, of Winnsboro, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021. He was born October 14, 1942 in Lawton, Texas to the late Leonard L. Carter and Nancy Sipes Carter.

Luther worked as a Butcher for numerous businesses, including Bar W Meat Mar-ket in Ft. Worth and owned his own Janitorial Service Company. Later in life, he discovered a passion for woodworking and has since crafted many one-of-a-kind pieces. He was a member of the Baptist faith, lived life to the fullest and enjoyed his time with family and friends

Luther is survived by his sons, Tim Carter and wife Amy of Benbrook, TX; and Ricky Carter of Fort Worth, TX; daughter, Sheryl McKarns of Dallas, TX; sister, Pat Pruitt of Hawkins, TX; and grandchildren, Taylor Carter and wife Amy, Jessica Carter, Jaron McKarns, Olivia McKarns, and Chelsea McKarns.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Louise Carter.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in
Hawkins. A memorial service will be held to celebrate the life of Luther at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 1:00 P.M.
