Services for Mrs. Ludie Brown Henson, 90, of Gilmer will be held 10:00 A. M. Saturday, August 11, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Gilmer with Reverend Brian Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. Mrs. Henson passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, in Gilmer. She was born on October 15, 1921, in the Bethlehem Community, Upshur County to Floyd and Exa (Rash) Brown. Ludie Brown married James Paul Henson on November 25, 1939 and he preceded her in death on July 7, 1994. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Gilmer. Mrs. Henson is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Sid and Mary Jane Henson of Tyler, Larry and Tommie Henson of Holly Lake, Rodney and Vicki Henson of Gilmer; daughter, Teena Henson of Gilmer; 9 grandchildren, Karen Henson, Todd Henson, Denee" Nason, D"Anne Wilhite, Dan"na Johnson, Daphanie" Woody, Jennifer Pilkerton, Ryan Henson, Megan Hudson; 17 great grandchildren; sisters; Geraldine Johnson of Texas City, Ruenell Lansford of Longview, Berniece Grumert of Seward, NE; caregiver, Emma Smith of Gilmer. Pallbearers are Ryan Henson, Todd Henson, Brian Henson, Mike Pilkerton, Kyle Woody and Keith Barber. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 10, 2012, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
