Loy "Cotton" Jordan

Loy "Cotton" Jordan, 90, of Hawkins, Texas, went home Friday, August 18, 2023, at home surrounded by his family. Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins, Texas, with Brother Rodney Bird officiating. Interment will follow at Hawkins City Cemetery.

Loy G. Jordan was born January 3, 1933, in Fittstown, Oklahoma, to John W. and Estelle Jones Jordan. He served his country proudly in The Air Force during the Korean War. After he came home, he went to work for Exxon in Hawkins. "Cotton" enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, fishing, hunting, watching Sports and TV, and spending time with his family. He was married for 61 years to his loving wife, Bonnie, until she preceded him in death on April 12, 2020.

Mr. Jordan is survived by a son, Mark David Jordan and wife, Shannon Renee; daughter, Gay Lynn Smith and husband, Scotty;sister-in-law and caregiver, Carolyn Rowden; grandchildren, Courtnie Jordan, Aaron Scott, Amy Machelle, Quencie Elizabeth, Jordan Nicole, Austin David, Amber Nicole, Hunter Owen, Kendall Jade and Peyton Nicole; as well as six great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, friends and his special friend "Pee Wee."

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service and the service will be live-streamed on Facebook on the Croley Funeral Home page.
