Lois Marie Brewer

Funeral services for Lois Marie Anderson Brewer, 76, of White Oak will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Croley Funeral Home of Gladewater with Reverend Scott Schulik officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Old White Oak Cemetery. Mrs. Brewer passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018 in Longview. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brewer was born on March 31, 1942 in Iowa City, Iowa to the late John and Alice Anderson. She served in the United States Air Force. Mrs. Brewer also owned and operated Brewer’s Furniture in White Oak with her husband, Harold. Lois enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks, and Dallas Stars. Lois was a White Oak Roughneck fan and she and Harold never missed an opportunity to watch the teams play. She was a founding member of White Oak United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She will be dearly missed by all the loving family and friends she leaves behind.

She is survived by her son, Tony Brewer and wife, Kerry of White Oak; daughter Lisa McMichael and husband, Randy of Flower Mound; three grandchildren, Allison Brewer of Longview, Matt McMichael and wife, Heather of Fort Worth, Josh McMichael of Plano; great-grandchild, Anderson Lee; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many other family and friends.

Mrs. Brewer was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 55 years, Charles Harold Brewer who passed away on December 15, 2016; three sisters, Catheryn King, Joann Faber, and Bonnie Anderson.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Visiting Angels and Highland Park Home Health for the compassion and care given to Lois. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the White Oak Education Foundation.
