On Tuesday, January 21, 2025 Lindy Ray Ford left this earth for his final dwelling place. Lindy was born in Bomarton, Texas on March 26, 1937, to Lowell Eddith Ford and Pearl Mae McHenry. He graduated from high school in Sudan, Texas. Lindy served 4 years in the United States Air Force and was stationed in England and Germany. He was a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for Western Electric Company in New Jersey and on Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands. Later, he worked for Raytheon at Fort Hood, Texas and in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Lindy also worked for the U.S. Government at Yuma Proving Ground Arizona and the Republic of Panama before coming to White Sands Missile Range in 1988, where he retired in 2006.

Lindy was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Joanne Louise Oseroff Ford, infant daughter Kathryn Lynn Ford, brother Eddith Ford, brother Perry Ford and step daughter Stacie Jeanne Leach Munoz Wingfield. He is survived by his wife, Lurlene Driskill Leach Ford, of the family home, sons Joseph Lowell Ford, Benjamin David Ford, daughter, Rebecca Ann Ford Shults and step son Bobby Shane Leach. Missing him, as well, are 8 granddaughters and 3 grandsons. He leaves sisters Carolyn Agenbroad, Boise, Idaho and Sonja Carter, Amarillo, Texas. Lindy was a member of the Las Cruces Church of Christ.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 1 to 2 in the afternoon at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas.  A graveside service will follow at Gladewater Memorial Park, starting at 2:30.
