Funeral services for Linda McNeel, 68, of Gilmer will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 30, 2011 at Rosewood Baptist Church in Upshur County with Brother Charles Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Rosewood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. Mrs. McNeel passed away Saturday, in a Longview hospital. Mrs. McNeel was born December 14, 1942 in Gilmer to Willie and Estelle Green Hymer. She was a graduate of Harmony High School class of 1961, a homemaker, and had lived in Upshur County since 1970. Mrs. McNeel was an active member of Rosewood Baptist Church, a Deacon"s wife, a Sunday School teacher, GMA and Sunbeam Teacher, Church pianist and keyboardist, and a active member of the Women"s Missionary Association (WMA). She is survived by her husband: Pat McNeel of Rosewood, sons and daughters-in-law: Richard and Lisa McNeel of Gilmer and Ronnie and Tara McNeel of Gilmer; mother: Estelle Hymer of Rosewood; sisters: Bonnie Miller of Gilmer and Emily Culpepper of Tyler; grandchildren and spouse: Nick and Stephanie McNeel, Anna Laura McNeel, Drew McNeel, Hunter McNeel, and Brett McNeel. Memorial contributions can be made to the Rosewood Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1193, Gilmer, Texas 75644; or Lifeword Foundation, P.O. Box 6, Conway, Arkansas 72033 Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m, Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Croley Funeral Home Gilmer.
