Librada McKnight

A Mass of Christian Burial for Librada "Lilly" McKnight, 76, of Gilmer will be held 10:00 A.M. on Friday, August 15, 2014, at St. Theresa"s Catholic Church in Union Grove with Reverend Mark Dunne officiating. A rosary will be recited at 5:30 P.M., Thursday, August 14, 2014, with visitation following at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Interment will be at Morris Cemetery in Upshur County, Texas. She passed away August 4, 2014 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Lilly was born August 9, 1938 in Misiones, Argentina. She married Olan "Fat Boy" McKnight on April 28, 1969 and made her home in Gilmer. She will be remembered for many things; her smile, her laughter, her independence, her giving heart, her strong spirit and love she had for her family. She will be missed greatly. She is survived by her daughter, Allison McKnight Travis and husband, Kenneth and grandsons Preston and Garrett of Gilmer. Also surviving are her siblings of Argentina: Florencia Perez and Conception Perez, and numerous nieces and nephews both in Argentina and Gilmer. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, 1 brother and her husband of 45 years, Olan "Fat Boy" McKnight. A special thank you to Theresa of Hospice of East Texas, niece, Rhonda Welch and sister, Florencia Perez for all of your love and care. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Gladewater, TX. Pallbearers for Mrs. McKnight are Mike Koble, Blake Weber, Chris Koble, Danny Galvez, Roger Jones and Rick Jones. Her honorary pallbearers are Preston and Garrett Travis.
