Lela Marie Jones

DIANA: Services for Lela Marie Jones, 95, of Diana will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 28, 2018, at the Grubbs-Loyd Chapel in Diana with Johnny Coleman officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. She passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018 in Longview.

Mrs. Jones was born on October 25, 1922 to Matthew and Mary Hubbard in Upshur County. She was a housewife and a caregiver for others for many years. She was a member of Walnut Creek Baptist Church.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Otis Jones in 1973.

She is survived by her daughters: Nelda Parsons and Brenda Drew and husband Sam, grandchildren: Craig Raibourn and wife Veronica, Kevin Raibourn and wife Heather, Susan Floyd and husband Jason, and Alisa Thorold, great-grandchildren: Adrian Raibourn, Andrew Raibourn, Sofie Raibourn, Jake Floyd, Maddox Floyd and Lennox Thorold.

The family would like to thank Dr. Lawrence Rowe, Heartsway Hospice, Summer Meadows Nursing home and the staff on A600 at Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center for the loving care they gave Mrs. Jones.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, April 27, 2018, 6-8 P.M. at Grubbs-Loyd Chapel in Diana.
