Leah Ray Allen Davidson

Services for Mrs. Leah Ray Allen Davidson, 71, of Gilmer will be held 10:00 A.M, Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Enon Missionary Baptist in Upshur County with Reverend Ray Thompson and Reverend Kenneth Manley officiating and burial will follow at Enon Cemetery. Mrs. Davidson went home to be with her Lord on November 29, 2017 in Gilmer.

Leah was born July 25, 1946, in Houston, Texas to Richard Vernon Allen and Roxie Ann Laurent Allen. She married Ronnie Davidson on September 13, 1962 and was a beautician for over 30 years.
Mrs. Davidson was a loving wife, dedicated mother, “best NANA ever”, faithful member of Enon Missionary Baptist Church and caring and compassionate friend.


Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were always such a delight to her. She attended many of their activities and was their greatest cheerleader and encourager. When the kids would stay at their house, she always had them doing something from raking to gardening but they always had fun doing it. She always made time for them.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ronnie Davidson; sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Lisa Davidson, Todd and Blair Davidson; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Jesse Walker all of Gilmer; brother, James Lee Allen of Kilgore, sister, Mary Jo Davidson of Gilmer; grandchildren, Lacy Moore and husband, Derek, Lana Davidson, Cody Davidson, Seth Walker, Adam Walker, Katie Davidson, Matthew Davidson and Luke Davidson and two great grandchildren, Noah and Audrey Moore.

Mrs. Davidson was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Margaret Ann Loyd.

Pallbearers will be Cody Davidson, Derek Moore, Seth Walker, Adam Walker, Matthew Davidson and Luke Davidson.
